Microdyne Computers Microdyne Computer Services Ltd., founded by Dan Dueck and his mentor Tom Hennesey, was born out of a desire to create a new concept in the computer industry — a concept built upon openness, honesty, integrity, service and trust.

If you’ve been to Microdyne, you’ve likely been in the Tech Area. When you bring your computer in for repair, Dan (or his staff) conduct a quick visual inspection of your computer for obvious hardware issues or problems. Once this is completed, your computer is taken into the “open” tech area and powered up for another completely free inspection. The customer is welcome to watch this process and point out difficulties they are having. Only after Dan (or his staff) has diagnosed the extent of the problem, and informed you of the approximate price, will Microdyne proceed to complete the repairs — indeed a new concept!

Computer Tower A ‘Genuine Microdyne Custom Built Computer (or Gaming system) is built after consultation with you! A comprehensive needs assessment is part of our process, ensuring that the design of your computer, laptop/notebook or gaming system is uniquely suited to satisfy your operational needs.
All Custom Built Microdyne Computing or Gaming Systems include a 3 year hardware warranty. A definite PLUS is that any required warranty work or servicing is done right here at our Medicine Hat location. No sending it away!

Owner, Dan Dueck, is registered and certified through the National Computer Science Academy, and has undergone several years of technical training.
Dan currently holds Certification in

- Computer Electronics Specialist,
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (M.C.S.E.),
- Certified Computer Examiner (C.C.E),
- Certified Incident & Response Analyst, (data management, data loss & recovery)
- Computer Forensics.

Dan is one of few technicians in the Province, certified in Computer Forensics, (in part, provides an advanced understanding of file structures) — making him high in demand for data recovery and data loss prevention. Dan regularly researches and studies the newest technologies (component compatibility issues and new developments) and keeps up with strategies to defeat system threats such as viruses, malware and worms.

Our technicians are required to have certification in A+, Network+ — PLUS a minimum of two years ‘hands on’ experience. All of our technicians regularly go through update training seminars and are required to stay abreast of the newest technologies and system threats.
